take the hat off: 경의를 표하다

 

어디서 주운 표현인지는 잊어 버렸는데요. hat을 슨 영국 신사가 모자를 벗으며 존경을 표하는 모습.....종종 보셨지요?

 

take the hat off는 used to say you admire someone very much because of what they have done (경외심을 보여줄 때 사용하는 표현)이랍니다.
