슬프게도 이제는 볼 수 없는 영드 ‘East Ender’에 나왔던 표현입니다.

 

Put a lid on it.

 

먼저 literally…뚜껑을 덮어버려?

 

to do something that finally stops something or ruins or ends someone's plans or hopes

실은 끝내버리라는 뜻입니다.

 

드라마에서는 사람들이 듣고 싶어하지 않는, 과거지사에 대해서 이제 그만 let it go하라는 뜻으로 나왔던 것 같네요…
