hit it off: 친해지다 / 잘 맞다

소설 <The way men act>에 나온 표현입니다.

여기서 hit it off는 to like someone and become friendly immediately (금세 친해지다)는 뜻입니다. 그러니까 난 너희 둘이 친해질 거란 걸 알았어. 라고 해석할 수 있겠네요.
