a soft touch: 설득하기 쉬운 상대

소설을 읽다가 발견한 표현입니다.  He was a soft touch. 

 if someone is a soft or an easy touch, you can easily persuade them to do what you want, especially give you money - soft touch나 easy touch라고 하면 내가 원하는 대로 하도록 설득하기 쉬운 사람, 특히 돈을 잘 꿔주는 사람을 의미한답니다.
